Focuses on meeting requirements, scope & quality to produce the deliverables that drive the intended outcomes — and on delivering value throughout, not only at the end.

Acceptance is the value handshake. Value can be delivered incrementally (adaptive) or at the end (predictive); quality is built in along the way, not inspected in afterwards.
Requirements, Scope & Acceptance
- Requirements quality: clear, complete, consistent, testable, traceable.
- Definition of Done = the bar for "complete & releasable".
- Acceptance criteria = conditions for the customer to accept.
- Manage scope vs gold plating (extra = waste).
Quality & Suboptimal Outcomes
- Quality = fitness for purpose + conformance to requirements.
- Cost of quality: prevention & appraisal < internal & external failure.
- Watch technical debt, defects, scope creep, rework.
- Reviews, testing & standards keep quality in.
Exam Concepts
- Definition of Done vs acceptance criteria.
- Cost of quality; quality is built in.
- Value throughout (agile) vs at end (predictive).
- Gold plating & technical debt are problems.
Executive View
- Deliver value early & often where feasible.
- Quality reduces total cost (failure is dear).
- Acceptance = proof the spend produced something usable.
Industry Example
IT & Construction
- Software: DoD + acceptance, incremental releases. Construction: deliverable acceptance, snag lists, commissioning sign-off.
Interactions & Checking Results
- Consumes Planning & Project Work; assessed by Measurement; realises Value.
- Good signs: deliverables accepted, quality targets met, value realised, minimal rework/debt.
Memory Hooks
- "The right thing, done right, accepted."
- Output → Outcome → Benefit → Value.
- Build quality in — don't inspect it in.
