In a documented case, an application for an evaluative study inside the researcher's own workplace went back and forth to the committee five times for amendments before approval, and the process took more than five months.

That is the hardest category of application — insider research on colleagues in the same team, requiring a third party to approach participants so the researcher never learned who declined. It is one case and the only quantified duration anywhere in the supplied material.
